Marianne

Marianne you are an enigma
A woman of deep mystery
No one knows where you came from
Or where you are going to

You do anything that you want
Who knows what you will do next
Your effect on men is unrivalled
They never know what to expect

They give you anything you ask for
And more than ever they should
But you always want more, and they
Would give it to you if they could

You have the face of an angel
One look turns a man into a slave
Unable to resist all your charms
They lose the will to be brave

Marianne you are an enigma
A woman of great mystery
You stole my heart so easily
I beg you to please set me free

I don't want to be part of your circle
Of friends who fall at your feet
I know that soon you'll be gone
Leaving behind just an empty seat

They'll look but they will not find you
You'll be weaving your spells somewhere else
To your new friends you'll be an enigma
A woman of deep mystery

Marianne you are an enigma
A woman of deep mystery
No one knows where you came from
Or where you are going to
